Interior designers highly often use nature as their inspiration source and this time they have chosen the Agave plant, native to the regions of Mexico. A specific species of Agave is used in the production of tequila, as an alternative to sugar in cooking, and can also be added to breakfast cereals.
Its conformation – thick, fleshy leaves, with most species ending in a sharp terminal spine and short stout stem – worked as an inspiration to the designers of the Agave Collection that gave birth to 3 unique pieces of luxury furniture.
The Agave Cabinets aims to reflect the rareness of the whole mezcal production process through the best design possible. The Agave Cabinet is a metaphor and a homage to the ancient tradition surrounding the culture of mescal – liquored distilled made in Mexico- and every piece of this collection originates from the heart of the Agave plant.
Each cabinet offers sufficient space for storing pottery, cutlery or even books and drinks and it is now part of the most original and innovative home décor ideas.
These unconventional cabinets are produced using a great variety of combinations of engraved black wood and brass or metal. Most important is that each of the sets designed are slightly different from each other, due to the unique skills of the craftsmen and their effort to produce uniqueness and originality.
All in all, the whole of the exclusive design, production and process of the Agave Cabinet is perceived as a holly ritual that needs special attention and respect both from the artisans, but also from those who will include it in their decoration ideas.
