Vincent Dubourg is a French artist and furniture designer, who created contemporary and modern cabinets with a particular and exclusive design. The Buffet Inner Vortex is an aluminum buffet that looks like it’s exploding on impact. The main idea behind this piece is to question society and take it to a new planet and other ways of living, as the aluminum pieces explore themes of climate change and environmental crisis inspired by nature.

Chris Wolston’s time in Colombia has spawned new work created by sand casting aluminum and this piece is no different. Featuring an exterior of exuberantly covered tropical motifs – artfully formed in place – the cabinet also features a cane structure. Moreover, the work has a puzzle-like feel with intricate motifs that come together to create a strong visual impact.

Furniture in Irregular Forms (1970) is a nod to the severity of modern furniture, while the undulating shapes capture a more lighthearted attitude.

“I like beauty full of mistakes because we are human. Perfection is for machines, it is obsolete, gone,” Italian designer Gaetano Pesce has said. Throughout his career, Pesce’s exuberant work has experimented with color and industrial materials like polyurethane foam, resin, and plastics. The Felt Cabinet was his representative at Design Miami and expresses the peculiar talent of its creator.
